Sorry this post is so late about the “Neighbors Near and Far” event hosted at DePaul University’s Lincoln Park campus in Chicago.  Not able to get on the internet much; I’m in the Minnesota woods this week for the Salvation Army’s Jamboree (camping and outdoors life for over 300 teens and their leaders).

Alexandria Macias of North Park Seminary sent this note:

For those of you in the Chicago area next week [today through Saturday], I’d like to invite you to attend “Neighbors Near and Far” on DePaul’s Lincoln Park campus (just off the Brown Line at the Fullerton stop). I’m coordinating the event, which is a program of The Ekklesia Project.  The focus is on learning as churches to love all the neighbors God has given us, especially in relation to differences of ethnicity, culture or immigration status.

This event looks good because it will deal with a number of issues especially pertinent to urban places, particularly immigration.

Check out more at Neighbors Near and Far website.

If you attend, feel free to share with us via a comment.
