Wednesday evening in Chicago Nami Mun received the 21st Century Award at the Carl Sandburg Literary Awards.  Her remarkable story is told by Mary Schmich in today’s Chicago Tribune.

But one bit particularly caught my attention.  Mun’s favorite Chicago restaurant, Sunshine Cafe on Clark Street.  For the same reason it is our favorite Japanese restaurant:  homestyle Japanese cooking.  Korokke, gyoza, salmon shioyaki and grilled eggplant when it’s on the menu.  Gail likes the tonkatsu.  They know how to brew proper green tea, too.
